Hi. I have a question for iphone 12 users. I currently own iphone 12 and iphone 11 pro. I'm somewhat unhappy with video/photo quality on iphone 12 due to extreme lens flare it produces. I have no such experience with iphone 11 pro. How do you deal with lens flare on your devices? is there anything I can do other than cover the lens from the sun when taking photos? I did some screenshots of the videos I took with both phones side by side.

Comparison can be found HERE.

iPhones don’t have high quality lenses. Maybe for a smartphone they’re pretty good but so many compromises have to be made in the lens design to make it tiny like it is.

Avoid shooting into lights and shade the lens if in the sun.
