So the A14 isn’t really more efficient at all, typical apple marketing 😂

So happy that my iPhone 12 gets less battery life than last year models. 🥺

Gonna guess the 12 pro max battery life will be poorer than the 11 max, but slightly better than the 11 pro. I can't imagine the 12 minis battery life will be great.

It's weird that the regular 11 is behind the 11 Pro in this video. It should be the other way around. Also the 11 looks brighter than the 11 Pro which could be the reason for worse battery life.

The 11 Pro always had a better battery life than the 11 in every test I've seen. It has a smaller, more efficient OLED screen and the battery capacity isn't all that different.

Hopefully they get that Smart Battery Case ready ASAP this year before all the negative talk of poor battery life hits.

Perhaps it will be ok though, the 11 was probably the first time Apple BLEW us away with amazing battery power, it seems odd they’d go backwards so significantly if all these reports are true.

Yet in tests made by anandtech, gsmarena, notebookcheck regular 11 is always ahead of the 11 Pro.

They way I look at it is..

People complained they were too big, too heavy. Always complaining.. just look through some threads here.

They still want to introduce new tech, but hard to do that with everyone complaining all the time, so concessions have to be made. And they were.. and the complaining starts again :D

You cant have it all.. tech isn't quite there yet.. give it 5 years.

They were planning on using reverse charging so they put a bigger battery in the pros but now that they are not so they reduced the size.

He ran lot of dark content (video, game and especially "black" camera recording)
When you read lot of "white" webpages - 11 has better battery life...

I saw a strange phenomenon in this video: I'm looking at iphone 12 Pro 1:32 - battery 98%, iphone 12 - battery 92%, next frame 1:33 iphone 12 Pro charge dropped from 98% to 91%, while iphone 12 remain 92%.
I doubt the final results.

I have been using the SE almost daily since April and I feel like I’m getting much more than 4 hours of SOT.. Of course when I go back to my iPhone 11 I do notice the difference in battery life.

I was so leaning towards the iPhone 12 mini, but after seeing these tests I feel like it’s battery life may fall around that of the iPhone SE (2nd Gen). Which like I’ve stated has Not Been terrible for me, but I also keep a power brick with me at all times when I have the SE.

I love the size of the SE though. I also loved the size of the iPhone 5/5s/SE1. Idk after this video I’m kind of up in arms about what I may do. I may sale my 11 andXS Max and get a 12 or 12 pro instead 🤷🏽‍♂️

This test does not align with other tests at all.
I think they should run the test several times. You never know what the phone might be doing in the background.

Almost impossible that it isn't. (5nm tech) It's just not the only thing that draws power.
The Pro got a bigger screen and 5G this year, but a smaller battery.

Smaller battery, smaller battery life. What else would you have expected?

This truly is the most common sense thing to think. In all honesty it’s what you would think when you see smaller battery specs. I think people were hoping the A14 would be more efficient towards battery life.

However if we’re truly looking at it the difference in battery life is not astronomical or anything.

I don’t understand, why Toms Guide comes to different findings when using 4G only.
Tom Guide had a significant difference between 12/12 pro battery life when they have identical battery and display sizes, which leads me to the conclusion their results should be disregarded completely.
