I bought a refurbished iPhone 12 a month or so ago on Amazon. I use AT&T PrePaid. I took the SIM out of my iPhone X and just put it in the 12 when I got it and it worked, but I would occasionally get a prompt out of nowhere saying something like “No SIM detected” The weird thing was I would be in Airplane Mode when that happened. I keep my iPhone on Airplane Mode and use the Wi-Fi at home because we don’t get a good signal where I live.

A week or so ago, it just completely stopped detecting the SIM, so I took it out and put it back in and it still won’t recognize it.

I put it back in my iPhone X and it’s working fine.

It seems pretty obvious that the problem is with the phone itself, but I wanted to make sure and see if any of you guys had a similar experience before I return it. I have until 11/1 to return it.

Sorry if this has been asked before. Thanks in advance. 👍

Before you return the phone, I suggest getting a new SIM card from AT&T.
