I have an iphone 13 mini for around 2 years or so. Battery still shows 92% maximum capacity which doesn't need a battery replacement right? I rarely get my phone below 20% usually. I think at most once a week maybe. Now I read 80% is when you should get a new battery replacement right?

The thing is my iphone does have issues where I get a vertical green linen showing and it has came and went away like 10 times already. The vertical line could be very green or light green but it comes back and goes away etc. It doesn't distort the screen that much and is still usable.

Now I am not someone that buys a new iphone every year and use it until I can't. For example the original iphone SE, I would still use it now but I gotten battery replacement I believe once and need another battery replacement but got a iphone 13 mini few years ago because it has longer battery which I want.

Now If I get a new battery replacement, only do this at the apple store right? How much do they charge and I assume you go there and pay them and then you come back in a few hours? And the cost?

Who here has done this with the iphone 13 mini or similar models? I don't have any plans to buy a new iphone for a while. Anyone here replace battery say twice on the same phone to use it even more longer?

Apple will charge $89 + tax. You will need to make an appointment online and bring it to your local store and should be able to replace it in a little over an hour. Your phone will have to pass a hardware diagnostic and physical inspection before they will replace the battery. You mentioned a green line intermittently appearing on the display which usually indicates a display issue. If it comes up on their diagnostic, you would have to replace the display before they will replace the battery.

Okay. So if there is no green line there on the screen visible but they could check there is something wrong with the display... you will have to either fix that display issue first by letting them fix it for you or you get a 3rd party to fix it?
Or you have to get a 3rd party because they won't fix that?

But if you bring the phone there where the vertical green line is clearly visible, then same thing?

My suggestion to you is to take it to Apple and have them assess your phone. They'll tell you your options and you can decide what you want to do. If you don't like what you hear from Apple, you can go to a 3rd party repair facility and have them give you an estimate to replace the battery and have them do the work

Okay so if I go to a 3rd party to get the screen replaced, how much would that cost on average? But make sure to get the battery replacement at apple right? But I read there are people that buy genuine iphone battery replacement online from sites like ifixit but that isn't worth it right?

I check online and it cost $40 for iphone 13 mini battery replacement and you have to do it yourself. If you are not tech savy, no way you do it right and it takes an hour or so? But if you buy that and take it to a 3rd party place, they will charge you at least $40 right so you aren't saving much compared to just going to the apple store and having them do it? There would also be 3rd party repair shops that has the battery and would do replacement but issue is the battery replacement they have probably is very bad quality?
