iPhone 13 mini iPhone 13 mini on High Sierra with iTunes 12.6.5

Hello everyone,

I'm going to get myself 13 mini these days.
Does anyone have the experience with 13 mini working fine with iTunes 12.6.5 on High Sierra?
Sorry, my Macbook is old, can't afford both M1 and the iP13m. I just hope they would communicate properly. My SE 2016 is on iOS 14.7.1 and is doing fine so far. So would the 13 mini with iOS 15 behave likewise on High Sierra?

I'd appreciate the feedback.

I connect my 13 Mini to my 2011 MacBook Air, no problem.
I use the Transfert app for the photos.
I do not use iTunes.
First time I connected the iPhone it installed some updates on the Mac.

iTunes 12.6.5.3 works wonders on new M1 devices on Windows, but on Mac running high Sierra it just doesn’t connect, keeps connecting and disconnecting. I’m referring to my M1 iPad Pro and iPhone XS Max. So for me I can’t use macOS and iTunes 12.6.5.3 on any latest apple device anymore.
