Is the iPhone unable to handle more than one app accessing GPS data? Mine gets glitchy when I have a couple of apps running, and it seems to be directly related to location services/GPS.

I use my iPhone while driving uber/lyft as a side gig, so the Lyft Driver app and Google Maps are both running (in a dash mount and connected to CarPlay, not in my hand), along with Spotify typically. I often want to share my location with my spouse and/or record my location/route, for safety purposes and to refer to later if need be.

I run into regular problems with my phone getting warm, draining battery despite being plugged in, and the Lyft and Google Maps apps getting glitchy and crashing, which is obviously dangerous on the road. This typically happens when I want to share my location on top of the other things. Is this an old iPhone issue (standard iPhone 13 here)? Will I be better off if bought a new (and Pro?) iPhone? or is this a limitation of the radios no matter what iPhone version?

Thanks in advance!
