I'm not going to lie. I was worried I made a mistake ordering the 13 Pro after seeing some people saying the battery was draining really fast for them. But after using it for a few days now, I have not had any problems with the battery. In fact, I can comfortably charge my phone every two days without going to low battery in-between. Granted, I have not been playing heavy games on my phone since the purchase, but I have used the camera a few times, surfed the web/browsed reddit a ton, watched some netflix, and played some non-demanding games.

My only worry now is that I may have jinxed myself with this post ?

That was my main reason for getting rid of the 12 mini. I was usually at 30-40% by 1:00pm and had to recharge in the afternoon to make it through the day. With the 13 pro I usually end the day around 40%, some days its been as high as 60%. Extremely happy with not having to worry about charging my phone during the day anymore.

Mine has been very poor. I'm a very light user, and barely manage to get 2 days out of it. I think the Exposure Notification is the main culprit... On days I barely use my phone, it's the main cause for battery drainage. See screenshot. I probably listen to music and/or Podcasts a couple of hours a day. But other than that it's very light use, a bit of surfing, photos and not much else.
During the night, even on Low Power Mode, I still loose 7-10% overnight.

Exactly my experience!

Hmm, that's very strange. Perhaps you have a defect and can get it replaced?

I have been so impressed with my 13 pro battery life. Definitely an improvement from my last phone!

With light use and lots of wifi yeah it lasts a lot. With some tasks (extensive camera use for example) you can deplete the battery very fast

Ive had a mixed experience. Some days I go to bed with 30-40% with heavy usage and some days I have to charge by 8pm with roughly the same usage. I do feel like this last 15.1 update helped a bit so far yesterday and today it seems to be holding on better but we will see over time.

Same here. Mines a 13PM. I’ve had 10-12 hrs some days and then 8hrs others (with the same end of day percentage). The battery seems to drop differently once in gets under 100%. Sometimes it stays at 100% for 40 minutes and then rapidly drops to 90 within 1hr. Sometimes it stays at 100% for less time and drops more gradually.

Yes I have had that same experience also with the 100%-90% difference in drop. Very weird. Could be something open in the background not so sure. But coming from an 11 Pro Max Im having a tougher time with the battery on the 13 Pro.

I'm trying to narrow it down by putting it into flight mode and reducing number of apps in multitasking. I really don't want to set it up as a new phone since it would take forever to get all the settings right and I'll lose tons of app data that are not individually backed up to iCloud.

Yeah Im not one to set up as a new Iphone and go through installing everything one by one again. The beauty of this interface is its simplicity and just using it. I like how easy it was to transfer everything over. I feel like you shouldnt have to set up brand new to get all the juice from the battery. I think it may just be the capacity of the batteries at this point with all the new technology and the cameras and 5G I didnt really expect much more so my disappointment level is not high.

I feel as though there have been more concerns about the battery from the 13 pro crowd than the 13 or 13 pm. Might just be the lens I am seeing everything through.

Having come from an 11 pro max as some here have mentioned, I have not been terribly impressed. Maybe the iOS 13/14 iterations were more polished ? I think even with 85% battery health on the 11pm on 14.8 it would easily outlast my 13 pro.

I did a phone to phone transfer from 6s to 8plus and 8plus to 11 pro max without issues. Never bothered with going to tweak settings or restore or clean install. Had to do a clean install and set up as new with the 13p to clear a find my/location bug constantly triggering location services. Also had to unpair and repair multiple times an Apple Watch due to failure to pair issues. After working with Verizon now I’ve had to switch from 5g on to auto, and now LTE only because I have frequent network drops and lost connectivity, which they seem to think is the 5g modem constantly searching and switching networks.

At this point have to wonder if the phone has a hardware issue or there’s some kind of mismatched expectations.

My 13 Pro had a tough day yesterday. Early start, 12 hour workday, loads of internet sharing to my MacBook, calls, photography, Safari use. I had around 20% to spare when I put it on the charger at midnight.

I have never had a phone that’s been even close to this. My XS lasted half of that, maybe. I always had the Smart Battery Case handy for these days.

I don’t need a power bank or battery case now for my phone.

As you may have figured out, I’m very happy with my 13 Pro! ???

Edit: disregard that, probably LTE as you Internet shared

And some 5G too since I had reception! I rarely use public wifi. I have the setting “Allow more 5G” or what it’s called in English enabled too.

At first, I also thought the battery life is awesome, my 13 Pro can easily last 2 or even 3 days on one charge.
However, then I went to a vacation, was taking a lot of photos, and in this situation it's not so good anymore. It's ridiculous how fast the Camera and Photos drain the battery. It could drop from 100% to 10% in just a couple of hours, I had to constantly keep my phone charging from a battery pack.
Now back from vacation and it's back to 2-3 days of use on one charge, but now I don't have a lot of confidence in it anymore.

Today has been better for me overall with 5G turned off. I don’t see huge benefits with it yet for my use since im always on Wi-Fi at work or home anyways so I’ll probably just keep mine off. It’s 5:26 and I have 44% left started my day at around 7:00am with moderate to heavy use.
