My friends 13 pro max is completely dead
We have tried pressing volume up then down followed by holding the power button- nothing.
Holding down the volume up and power together still not luck
Also tried charging it and it gets warm but still absolutely nothing.
I guess it’s a case of going to a Genius Bar and getting a new phone under warranty?
So strange for a phone like this to cut out all of a sudden
Any help appreciated

Definitely recommend taking straight to Apple if you are close to a store. If not, calling them to start diagnosing. Best of luck. Let us know how it turns out.

Went to Apple store, they said it’s completely dead and needs a new processor. So after an hour they replaced it and it’s working now!
Good job it was under warranty otherwise it would’ve cost £500!

I think they did, but didn’t want to say they did.
Easy enough to verify that by checking the serial numbers. If you have the box that the phone came in you compare the serial number of the box to what is on the phone.
