Moon, and safe from the ban
Just a day old iphone but really annoying , every time unlocking the phone the screen is dim for a split of a second and then goes to normal. The only way to fix is to turn on touch to wake but dont want to use that option as prefer to use side button
I hope is not a problem with my phone
thank you for any advise

Do you mean it sort of fades in from dim to bright really quickly? Mine does that. Completely normal. Honestly never even noticed it.

My screen brightness after unlocking has become all wonky ever since installing iOS 15.3 on an iPhone 7. It’s just momentary. Battery SOC reporting is funny too. It’s all over the place.
For a .3 update, iOS 15 sure is rough.

Yes that's what I mean but no is not normal , is very annoying to be honest. my other iPhone 11 pro max never done that. google it and is not wide spread but yes is still there. I am worried if is hardware related

We must be talking about 2 different things then. This is exactly what mine does:

The screen brightness fades out upon locking and fades in upon unlocking. Here, I made a slow-motion video of it:

Exactly , mine is the screen does not reach its set brightness straight away when side button is pressed before the unlock it appears dimmed at first for a split second and then reaches the normal brightness.

Ok, so are you saying your phone does something different than what is shown in the video, or that your phone does the same thing? Because the video does show that the screen does not go instantly bright upon pressing the side button, but AFAIK that is completely normal (the slight fade in and fade out).
