Are the iPhone 13 pro models starting with 128 or 256 storage for base model?

In the next 5 years do you think we will have 2-4 tb storage on smartphones due to the very high quality and high resolution photos and video formats that take up alot of space?

4TB local storage is against Apple wireless and cloud future, so it wont really happen. Apple expects you to upload every bit of photo/video taken to be uploaded and not stored locally.

128GB base storage chance isn’t high but doable, but that would make 256GB storage a bit of tougher sell depending on pricing.

Anything is possible. Storage increases over time, so 1TB today could look like 256GB in 5 years. 5 years ago, the iPhone and the iPad didn’t offer more than 256GB. So who knows.

But still, I expect the same storage options for 2021 as 2020 for the iPhone. Starting storage and maximum storage will likely be the same. Most other phones aren’t offering 1TB options.

It is hard to say what will happen. I suppose Apple will upgrade the base storage soon. The base model has had 64 GB since the iPhone 8/X in 2017. The iPhone 12 Pro has been upgraded with 128 GB, up from 64 GB in the iPhone 11 Pro last year, but the base model was not. It will probably not take long, as low-end models of other manufacturers are already shipping with 128 GB. Not sure about the iPhone 13, though, as the reported chip shortage may have some impact on the prices.
