Last night I could not open my phone. Every time I swiped up to unlock, the screen would turn black with a tiny spinning wheel in the middle then it would go back to the lock screen. After a few attempts I swiped to the right and it opened the camera. It then showed the message “iPhone storage is full. Free up storage space if you want to take more photos” (or something like that). I then checked my storage and it was mostly grey for iOS and System Data. I think I should have had at least 40GB free but I can’t remember exactly. So I deleted over 10GB worth of message data and photos, but a few hours later it shows storage nearly completely full again. Is this happening to anyone else? All I can find are people getting the storage full message but actually having lots of free space.
EDIT: I just added up everything on the storage page and it does indeed add up to 254.5GB. This leads me to believe either the Photos app or Music app are bugging out and reporting higher than they should be.
