Wouldn't this be better suited to posting in one of the iPhone subforum threads? That's where I've seen threads offering various wallpapers and desktop photos.

Many members don't seem to realize that there are posts and threads in the iPhone section where there is sharing of wallpapers and such, as well as an entire Picture Gallery subforum in the MR Community area. This is where you'll find threads such as "Post Pictures of Your Pet!" "Post Pictures of Your Car!" and "Post Pictures of Your Desktop!" and such.

I will look around and see where these may be best seen. Thanks for the heads up @Clix Pix :)

In my other post I have now belatedly added the link to the Pictures Gallery area, makes it easier to find. It is definitely different from the Digital Photography area. For instance, the POTD thread is meant to be a showcase of one's best images (one per day) while in the Pictures Gallery there are many threads where people can post as many shots at any time as they want of their meals, their pets, their cars, etc.

I think many of us photographers who hang out in the Digital Photography section tend to create our own wallpapers from our own images, rather than use stock images or other people's. I have had people on MR ask me for higher-rez versions of something I've posted or if it would be OK to use one of my images for their wallpaper. While it's flattering to be asked, personally I prefer to have only my own iPhones, iPads and computers displaying unique images that I have shot.

I appreciate you taking the time to help me here. For as long as I have been a member of MR, I am sadly lacking knowledge as to what all is available here. I tend to stick to just a few areas for the most part, and occasionally post or search for specific device or feature threads. Unfortunately, I have only so much time I can spend here and tend to stick with threads I'm most interested in, photography, music, and tech being the top 3. I really appreciate the community in the POTD thread. Great group of people there, and I wish I could meet you all in person. I don't do photography for a living anymore per say, but do use my photo experience in my realty business, and will never give it up as a hobby.

Thanks for the Picture Gallery link. I will check it out. I hope you and your family are safe and well and have the happiest new years holiday.
