Hi all, since especially the 14 series, what’s going on with the battery capacity situation?? Seen many owners being very upset about capacity going down in the eighty region, both on 14 and 15 series, after a year… My own 14 PM is at 87% after 1,5 y, and I’m not bothered since the phone keeps performing more or less as usually. Have seen posts by especially many 14P/PM and 15P/PM series owners upgrading because of this fact of degraded battery capacity. As everyone can see the numbers on there phones many years back now, in comparison, right or wrong, it looks like a very degrading trend? Should Apple have made them visible at all, very transparent but misleading? Can we except the same or worse on the 16 series? What’s your thoughts?

Have you heard of normal wear and tear ?

It's normal.

All my devices (Macbook, iPad, AW, iPhone, Chromebook, Surface pro, etc) and my EV cars all degrade capacity over time.

I’m not really sure I understand your question, and quite aware that all Ion Lithium batteries degrade over time, it wasn’t about what I think. As I wrote, there is a huge amount of posts here on MR where IP14/15 owners are quite upset with what they believe is too much of a degradation, then expected. I guess these reactions will continue, maybe increase, through the 16 series, but I hope not.
