Is there any reason Apple shouldn’t be using numbers? I mean, they’ve only been doing it for 10 years. Point is, the highest number with the iPhone, shows the newest iPhone, and devalues the older iPhone models with the lower number. Thus, was why Apple uses the numbering system. I would say it’s equally as crucial to their marketing in that respect.

iPhone put the silly word "max" into the names if last years line up. Was a slow year for sales.

Boeing put the silly word "max" into their airplane and within months two of them nosedived to the ground killing all passengers.

When I heard the name Max before it reminded me of Nike in the 1980's, although it seemed to work OK for Nike... I would not wear Nike stuff, that is for chavs

You would have to be incredible simple to get confused by iPhone naming standards.

Apple should never have called the iPhone X the iPhone X they should have just called it the iPhone 10, they always have to ruin a good naming

There’s no association with Apple using the moniker ‘Max’ and slow sales. Slow sales would’ve happened no matter if Apple would have named it the “iPhone Biggest”. The iPhone sales slowed due to too high of an inflation and market saturation. Although, usually Apple has decent marketing, but I do agree that Max seems kind of not well thought out for that specific 6.5 iPhone.
