Every year, the same people contribute to being in the know of what Apple plans to offer. The rumor mill begins to churn and we buy into the hype even if the reputable sources are wrong. It's a scavenger hunt of sorts, we are motivated by the multiple threads of what we think should come to the newest iPhone. IMO I think Apple will release a mini version this year. The September event isn't far to be seen so all answers and questions will be revealed. There is a market for smaller phones in general, but larger phones stand front and center. we make the sacrifice because you lose with non pro versions. Just my opinion

It would be the first time every credible source is wrong at the same time. Keep in mind iPhone 14 entered mass production this month. So anything like this would have been leaked by assembly workers on Weibo a while ago.

The mini served as a low-cost entry point for 5G in 2020. It no longer serves such a purpose given the current price of iPhone 12 and the launch of iPhone SE3.
