Yes, the first one with the camera glitch was on Beta 1, 2nd one that was overheating was on beta 2 and this one with the buzzing noise also on beta 2.

Well why not just trash the beta and see how the phone performs with iOS 16.0.2.

I had the 16.1 beta 1 on my 12 PM with no issues whatsoever!
Could all these issues I listed really be to do with the beta?

Never fails to amaze me how many people will run beta software expecting it to be glitch free.

I know. I don’t get it. Unless there’s a reason to run a beta. What am I missing with all these folks running beta’s and having issues and not thinking once that the beta maybe causing a issue and troubleshoot with the public release of iOS.

To my understanding, the camera glitch had nothing to do with the beta, many users running 16.0.1 had the same issue.
Its not certain that any of my issues are beta related.
But, I will downgrade to 16.0.2 just to make sure.

Of course. The iPhone 14 Pro has a different chip etc etc etc.
If the phone had public release iOS in the beginning and it’s fine.
Then if a beta is installed and there are issues. It points to the beta. Troubleshooting 101.

Did you receive your phone today and do you mind sharing what beta you are on?
No always get the phones release day…it’s the beta, it’s not a hardware issue, use MagSafe until the next update, it’ll be okay you don’t need a new phone.

I’m worried that something might've been damaged hardware wise because of this!
Thats why it might be a good idea to get in touch with our account manager and report the issue and ask for another replacement come Monday morning.

I mean…if it’s a company phone I’m surprised your company hasn’t locked down your phone and limited it to only approved updates and apps (not betas or anything in TestFlight) , I can’t even access my work email unless it’s approved server side by an approved app. If I was your company I’d start instituting a better IT policy, but that’s just me 🤷🏼‍♂️ Either way I don’t think you should be testing software if that’s how you respond to a bug lol

Many people on here will victim blame and say this is somehow your fault and that you shouldn't complain.

Bought the 14 Pro Max on launch day, had the camera shaking glitch and so took it back last Monday, was given a brand new unit.
Took the new one home, set it up as new and the phone was getting so hot I was afraid it’s going to explode, and I wasn’t even using it when it was overheating, restarting and resetting didn’t help, took it back a second time and again was given a brand new unit this morning.
And guess what?
The brand new phone doesn’t like to be charged and starts making all sorts of noises when connected to mains!!!!
That’s it for me, I think Apple just rushed into releasing the iPhone 14 without proper quality control.
I will just stick to my iPhone 12 Pro Max and will get the iPhone 15 next year and will keep my €1600 for another year.

What do you expect? The product is made in China, so it’s a crapshoot

If a user is using beta software and can’t confirm stability on the public release of iOS whose fault is it?

There are many threads on here where people are reporting issues and they are running a beta and that could very well be causing the issue.
The OP said the beta was fine on a 12 series but the 14 is a different phone.

No, its the Apple charger and cable I always used before, this also happens when I connect the phone to my car’s USB port using an Apple cable!

‘I tried to use a 5 watt Apple charger block on my Ultra and it would not go onto charge mode. It takes a bigger charger.

I am also getting this buzz issue. After plugging in there is a series of a click and then buzz pattern 4 times. It stops for a while and then continues. If you press on the screen like you do to rearrange the Home Screen the buzz takes on a higher pitch.

It almost sounds like the sound made by those apps designed to remove water from the speaker. If connected to an audio device and sound begins to play the sound gets transferred to the speaker or headphones.

Are you also using a beta?

I’m having the same issue on my 14 Pro. Happened when I was on iOS 16 out of the box too and still happening on 16.1 beta 2.

I’m having the exact same issue. Didn’t notice it till yesterday when I first used CarPlay on 16.1 beta 2, since I mostly use MagSafe charging. Hope it doesn’t do any damage, sounds menacing.

I had the same issue, managed to solve it by doing a hard restart on the phone. Did it yesterday and haven't had the issue at all since. I am on the 16.1 public beta.
