Hey guys,

Did a few searches today and couldn’t find the answer to my question. Everyone seems to want to go from 12 to 48 megapixel. But is it possible to go the other way around? I’ve taken a few 48 megapixel images. I like the detail but I don’t really want them stored on my phone. Do you guys know of any way I can convert my 48 megapixel ProRAW images to a smaller file size say 12 megapixel? Is there any way to do it natively on the iPhone or will I have to download some apps? If so does anyone suggest any good ones?

Thanks

I use this Shortcut/Automation to save these as lower filesize HEIF format:

Then when viewing the photo, click on the lower left icon (as if you will send a photo), and choose the "Covert ProRAW to HEIF" option.

This shortcut works for 12MP ProRaw dng files, but when I try to run it on a 48MP ProRaw dng file it stops and says "There was a problem running the shortcut." Why?
