Anyone else having a slight creaking/clicking when swiping with their phone with the official clear MagSafe case?

I noticed today and initially thought my camera was rattling or something but I am pretty sure it’s the case and not the phone itself.

I've always had creaking issues with clear cases, whether Apple or third-party, going back as long as I can remember. It was so bad on my iPhone 11 that I made the switch from clear to leather. Its just a side-effect of the plastic material. Unfortunately, this is the first year I'm not digging any of the leather cases, so I'm dealing with some creaking with my clear case.

Yeah I always got the white silicone case but unfortunately this year it was offered so settled for the clear… not overly keen on it as it’s a bit slippery for my liking and the creaking is quite annoying

Never heard a thing from my 13PM clear Apple case. Will have to check back in when I have the 14PM

I had the same issue with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Official Mag Safe Clear case. I always thought it felt like the sides of the case compressed a little when holding the phone. Something I find interesting, as that this time I got an iPhone 14 Pro (not Max), and the smaller 14 Pro case does not exhibit this squeaking?

I got a clear tpu case from totalee for my iPhone 11 Pro. It was not their super thin case, it was a bit thicker. Fit like a glove and I kept it on the entire time I had my phone. It discolored like crazy but the fit was primo.

How are the buttons on the Apple clear case this year? They are usually hard to press.
My 13PM Clear Apple has been good for the buttons. I remember getting some other clear one from another brand that was really tight to press buttons

They are still relatively hard to press, overall I like the case it’s just this constant clicking/creaking that makes my phone feel cheap so to speak lol… hopefully it’s just because it’s new and it will mould to the phone over time with use maybe.

I have noticed now with my clear case for 14 Pro Max the phone is coming away slightly from the case, I am having to press it back into the case on the top left and right constantly, my case isn’t a great fit unfortunately

I have no issues of creaking with my Apple clear case on my 14 pro. Buttons are fairly easy to press as they were with my 12 pro. It may be a Max issue? The only creaking I had an issue with was Power Support's clear air jacket that I returned when I first got my 12 pro 2 years ago.

As far as the phone coming away from the case, no way it's more than secure and would take effort to get it off. Maybe you have a defective case? Are you sure it's an Apple case? Are you sure it's for the 14 pro max? And not the 13 pro max?

Yeah it’s for the 14 pro max direct from Apple, the camera hole is the correct size and everything, I think my case is just defective I have set up a return with apple and ordered a replacement, so hopefully that one will be better

No creaking with my Apple 14 Pro Max clear case. Buttons are pretty easy to press. I feel like this year they changed the material to be a bit softer.
Can you check something for me, if you pinch the top corners of your phone and the back of the case can you feel movement at all, my phone coming away slightly from the case so I think it’s defective

I was just checking as mine has zero wiggle room, fits very secure and no creaking. Mine is the 14 pro not the max so mileage may vary.

I tried the Apple clear case but, returned it. I got the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. It’s perfect. I had one on my 13PM but, thought I’d try the Apple clear case this time. The Apple case was too slippery, buttons stiff and the fit was loose.

Did you get a replacement that worked right?

I got one delivered today and it has the same issue. I tried living with it for a few hours but it's just so bad, especially compared to a Spigen iPhone 12 case I had and I miss the button presses at times because of this creaking feedback. Vol up/down are relatively a lot better but even those feel very cheap.

Mine squeaks and the buttons are hard to press! Doesn’t bother me at all. It’s my first clear case and I love the look.
