So I got a brand new iPhone 14 Pro Max a few days ago and I’m really happy with it, although the first thing I noticed about it is that it gets hot all the time out of nowhere and I’m not quite sure why.

I don’t even use any heavy editing apps nor do I record 4K videos or something like this, I’d be only using it for a normal social media app while no other apps are playing the background, and it would get too hot.

I feel like this is not normal and I’m not really sure what the problem is. I haven’t bought an original power adapter to charge it yet so I don’t know if that could be the reason because it does also get too hot when I charge it.. I’m using my MacBook adapter for now until I buy an original iPhone adapter, I don’t know if this could affect the battery though.

And my current iOS version is 16.4.1
I haven’t upgraded to the latest one yet, but I’m not sure if it has anything to do with the heating issue.

i experience this bug once or twice a year. reboot should fix it.

I was told for the first couples days, your phone will heat up more since it is downloading and indexing files in the background. I was told to give it a week at the most and you should notice a difference then.
Yeah it’s actually better right now. It only gets too hot when it’s on charger, even though I already bought the original 20W power adapter. But otherwise it doesn’t really get hot so often as it used to in the first week.

That’s good to hear. Mine get hot when I use the 20w brick vs the 5w bricks I have laying around, and when I use the home while it’s charging.
