Hey there,

I've got a huge problem: When driving and using Google Maps to navigate, my new iPhone 14 Pro Max barely manages to pick up and update my location. I've never had any issues with my old iPhone Xs Max. I've tried using Apple Maps and Waze, same problem. I'm almost out of ideas, but I've still got two things to try:

1.) I'm new to MagSafe-equipped iPhones. I've gotten the original clear case from Apple. It contains additional magnets, maybe they interfere with the signal somehow. But surely Apple of all companies would've tested something that obvious?
2.) The iPhone 14 Pro line uses some additional GPS-bands. Is there anyway to toggle them on and off? Maybe they're somehow causing those issues for me.

Is anybody else experiencing problems like these? I'm from Europe btw, in case that matters.

Thanks,
- richan

I am having the same issue. I go into my maps and there is a huge circle that does not seem to get more precise. Also when using directions, it shows that i am stationary and only updates every 10-20 seconds. I am using a magsafe case from Spiegen, but my 13 PM had a spiegen case also and had no issues.

I think this is an iOS16 issues. Pretty much broke my Google Maps using carplay and a few other UI things. 16 was not ready at all for public release.
