iPhone 14 pro max says, "Your passcode is required when the iPhone restarts. The passcode isn't working. Help!!!!

No real help can be given. You need to know your passcode. The issue is that if it were easy to bypass, this would make theft easier.

If you have proof that you bought the phone, then take it to apple, and they may reset it for you. I don't mean if you bought this off ebay and bring the ebay receipt but rather the original receipt when this was purchased new.

I have had problem over the years using the onscreen keyboard not hitting the correct key. I constantly hit the key to the right of the one I am aiming at! For example, you may have hit the 7 key thinking you hit the 6 key, plus you made the same mistake when verifying what you typed. Write out your passcode and try and figure out which key was easiest to miss, then try carefully typing the wrong number. You might get lucky.
