My 13PM is basically perfect, but my 14PM is pretty bad. Noticeable red/pink on both the left and right edges of the screen, noticeable at night during daily use.

Do I play the OLED lottery...

What a pain the ass every year. I hope next year they finally get rid of the pill and just do a hole punch or something and they are also forced to change the display type or something. These uniformity issues are insane for a $1300 device.
It’ll be the factory where they are made I think

on a turnable machine putting those screens on “slap happy” like a stapler

My iPhone Pro Max 1TB $2769 + plan costs has got it really bad and a bright light spot on the left hand side noticeable at any brightness
I take it to Apple or JB Hi-Fi where I got it or my postpaid plan service provider Telstra, and they say “what are we looking at?

Apple always say we can do a diagnostics test that iPad they use can be programmed tell the genius bar any false information.

What’s the screen like on the iPhone 14 Pro ?

It’s not just Apple; it’s OLED in general. Do an image search for “OLED gray banding” and you’ll see it on TVs, on Galaxy phones

Hopefully the rumors of Apple moving over to microLED are true and that eventually becomes the standard, because supposedly microLED is much better about this.
