Hello everybody,

ever since upgrading to the iPhone 14 Pro I'm getting these weird notification glitches in the notification center. The glitch is only happening when I activate from the AOD and have a notification summary on the display. When I tap the arrow to expand the summary the glitch is happening like shown in the video. It's only occurring randomly and not everytime when I have a summary pending. It also doesn't seem to be related to any apps, because I've had this happen with several notifications from different apps. The glitch occurred on iOS 16, 16.0.1 and 16.0.2.

I already wiped the iPhone completely and set it up as a new phone (didn't restore from any back up 🙄), but the glitch keeps happening. Anybody else experienced this already? I haven't read anything about it anywhere and I'm kind of worried that it's hardware related due to the new dynamic island image rendering.

Apple support offered me to exchange the device, but couldn't tell me when I'd receive a new device due to long delivery times and high demand.

What do you guys suggest? Should I hope that this bug will be addressed in future iOS updates or should I return it and get a new device?

Hi,

same thing here. Just as you described, nothing changed. I turned on my new iPhone 14 pro two days ago, and I've got this weird notification glitch.
How have you solved it?

Unfortunately I didn’t. I’m on 16.2 and the glitch is still happening. Not as bad as it is shown in the video, but the corners of some notifications still appear squared for some seconds, when opening the notification summary. Apple offered me to send in the device, but I won’t wait for two weeks without a phone. Had the phone checked via Apple phone support with the device analysis three times and they claim that the hardware is completely fine. It’s a huge annoyance, especially for a device with this price tag.
