Hi all

I have a iPhone 14 pro and I have noticed it just does not remember the auto brightness setting that I set.

It will drop to 10% in A dark area and I have to manually up it to 30%. now when the screen goes brighter in a bright light and then drops back it remembers and goes back to 30% in the same dark area.

The next day go back to the same situation and it keeps going back to 10% until I again up it to 30% which then Remembers.

My iPhone X with iOS 16 does not do this as it remembers the dark environment i set it to all the time when the condition hits.

Can anyone tell me why this is and it’s not remembering the conditions in auto brightness the next day.

Thanks.

Sounds like you have something turned on still in my opinion to auto adjust

I don’t mind it auto adjusting but in certain situations I set the level and when I go back to that light level again it does not remember and goes back to the default brightness adjustment level.

On my older iPhone X I could go into a room with certain light level then adjust the brightness to my liking and It would always remember that level to auto adjust to that light level.

Don’t know if it’s a iOS 16 bug as every day I am adjusting the light level to the same I have previously day which it should remember.
