Hi guys, I have been a user of the iPhone 14 Pro (256 GB) for about a month now.

My experience has been good so far mostly, but I have one pet peeve that has been seriously bugging me. That involves the phone "slowing down" and becoming not as snappy as its is, several hours (maybe 3 hours or so) after a full charge. This results in a perceived 'missed touch', as the sluggier animations tend to make me misjudge the speed of the animation's completion, and hence ignoring the next touch input. In essence, the difference in snappiness / speed is night and day, as it makes me unable to adapt to the different duration of the sluggish animation. This is especially easy to see when bringing a keyboard up from WhatsApp / Telegram, and hiding it again.

I have tried restarting my phone to get the 'snappiness' back, which works for a couple of hours, but will eventually become sluggish again. I have also tried to clear the ram with Assistive touch, volume up / down + power button, but clearing the ram doesn't really work as the phone remains sluggish.

Is anyone else also experiencing this? I am wondering if it is because as the battery depletes, the performance is also throttling - but this should not be happening to a 1 month old iPhone, and I'm wondering if it's just me getting a dud.

I haven't experienced this on my 13 mini as far as I can recall. Sadly I have heard that the 14 Pros have some longstanding stuttering issues in the UI as well as frame rate drops, but I've also been told it doesn't affect everyone. Have you tried running the 16.4 beta to see whether that might fix anything, by chance?

Ah how do i get access to the beta? This is actually my first iPhone purchase, so i'm quite new to that. Haha. I do have a genius bar appointment on Wednesday, so i'm not sure if going via the beta version would void anything. I have also tried to factory reset my phone recently and yet it seems the issue hasn't been resolved.
