Hello everyone, this morning I was charging my iPhone 15 pro with the 80% limit that been on since I got the phone is not working. My battery is at 85% even though it’s been set to stop at 80%

Even with 80% limitation, iPhones do charge up to 100% sometimes to calibrate battery.

Also supposedly the newest version of iOS 17 fixed an issue where the 80% charge stop didn't always work - or it was supposed to fix it. Maybe theres still problems with it.

I originally had issues with it when I first installed 17.1. It would consistently not stop at 80%. I did a hard reset of the phone and it appears to be working now.

Is it good for the battery lifetime to consistently only charge to 80%?
