Hello all.

I have a small question, maybe someone is having the same issue, the stickers menu won't close, maybe it's a model related bug, but I'm not sure, I asked a friend with a different iPhone and he doesn't have this issue.

I've tested this with several apps and the problem is still there, restarting the phone has no effect, same for disabling/deleting/re-adding emoji keyboard, the highlighted X (close) button doesn't work, you press it and it does nothing:

Thank you!

I don’t see stickers in the emoji keyboard on my 15 Pro Max. I just see the usual emojis. The only place I see stickers is in the Messages app. In both cases I don’t get an X button. I just tap outside the modal to close it.

The Stickers feature is found in the Emoji keyboard (but also works without that) and works with the standard (US Keyboard or any other language). Looks like you are using a third-party app and not iMessage.
  1. Does this occur when using iMessage as well?
  2. Is this issue new or has it always existed?
  3. What keyboard language are you currently using in the posted picture?
  4. Do you have any third-party keyboards installed? (Gify, etc)
I would remove every keyboard except the one that is the default keyboard on the device: US Keyboard. After this, force restart your device:
  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.
Test for the issue again only using iMessage. If Stickers works correctly, try in the third-party app seen in photo.

I’ve attached a pic of how Stickers should look while using in iMessage. I don’t use third-party messaging apps so I can’t speak to that. Notice there is no ‘x’ and closing is by sliding down on the app drawer handle. This was taken on an iPhone 14 Pro using iOS 17.2

You can see that 'X' using Notes application.

Nope, iMessage doesn't show that 'X' and the screenshot I posted was from Whatsapp.

I did what you suggested:

1. Yes
2. This is new for me.
3. English US.
4. Nope, stock keyboard.

I removed all keyboards (I always use English US and Spanish LATAM) except the default one, forced restart, I tested it with iMessage and looks exactly as the image you posted, but I got the same 'X' using the app Notes, I even performed a factory reset with no data restore and the issue is still there.

Thank you.

Ok..so we know iMessage is working correctly with Stickers. When you see the ‘x’ .. instead of tapping that, place your finger on the screen and slide downward. When I tested Stickers in the Notes app, tapping the ‘x’ did not close the feature and I simply swiped down to remove.
