Anybody else has this problem? Usually at the end of the day the battery was like 70% or more but after the update, it became 39% today.

My wife is having massive battery drain after installing the update (this morning). She has the same phone as I do. I have had no problems on my 15 Pro Max. Yes, I know it's the first day, so we'll see how it does tomorrow.

I just did the volume up volume down and held power to reboot her phone to see if that improved anything. (Will report if this helps).

So, she's dropping at a 2-3x faster rate than normal. Granted, usage is a little higher too...

Thanks for sharing. I just checked the battery usage history for the past three days.

Min:

9/15 16%
9/16 22%
9/17 61% (Didn't use as much as the past two days but ended up higher usage!)

I hope this could be fixed soon.

Also it took 6 hours to charge from 61% to 97% when I was charging the phone while asleep. Charging is longer than usual after iOS 26 update.

Could this be another scam to get us to buy the latest iPhone?

One should always wait a few days after a major update for the phone to finish indexing and performing other initialization tasks before assessing its implications on battery life.

My wife’s phone drain this morning was crazy - she was 80% before leaving for work after taking it off the charger when waking up. (Just a few hours) - using it normally. But we’ll give it a few days too. Mine, on the other hand, is improved from iOS 18.

In my case it looks like draining is faster than charging (see post #4).

Yeah something ain't right - what charger you using? (not the 5w charger right?). Neither my phone or my wife's 15 Pro Max is doing this. (Nor my friend's). We all use 20-30+ watt chargers tho.

Have you done the volume up, volume down, hold power to do a reboot? (Sorry for the questions) - anything abnormal showing in the battery usage screens?
