My 15PM battery health is down to 99% already after only a couple of months of use :(

Am I killing my battery using MagSafe as my charging source?

Better to charge on the cable?

This sucks as my 14PM was still at 100% close to a year of use.

With Apples battery health algorithms 100% isn't always 100%.. My old iPhoneX said 100% and when I checked it on Coconut battery it was 97%.. Plenty of posts on this forum about poor battery health on the 14 series last year

1% loss every 6 weeks is about average for iphones but mileage varies.
The best way to preserve capacity is charge it all night every night because when its on charge it can’t discharge, and the number of discharge cycles is what wears it out. 500 full cycles to 80% is Apple’s guide
MagSafe is fine.

Trolling? I’ve not seen anyone recommend full charges if trying to prolong battery life for whatever reason.

I don’t troll. Optimised charging takes you safely to 100% every night.
Discharging then recharging ages the battery. So all the time it is on charge it is not discharging.

Mine hit 99% yesterday, 54 cycles and 80% limit. My 14PM was still at 100% when I sold it in September

Bearing in mind Apple’s minimum spec of 500 cycles for a 20% drop in capacity your figures are twice as good. Keeping at 100% capacity for extended periods would be the unusual situation.
(Despite being described as a troll earlier, I spent over ten years answering such questions on another forum)

Mine has 60 cycles and 100% Batteryhealth (maximum capacity 4585mAh, actual capacity 4498mAh), but I charge it only up to 80% (set in Battery-Menu) and discharge it only until 20%. Every charging between 20-80% don´t kill the capacity (charge in Car / with Powerbank etc). Avoid discharging under 20% and charging over 80% and everything keeps well.

On the other hand I use Apple Shortcuts to control a 230V Socket with plugged in charger => Power on, if discharge under 20% and Power off, if charged to 80%....

I think, that's the way to go
