I have 80% charging limit enabled and it correctly stops charging at 80%, but today somehow this setting got ignored and it charged up all the way to 100%. This is using MagSafe charging.

Any idea what is going on here? (yes I checked, the 80% charging limit was set)

probably just a software bug. disable it and enable it again.

also have seen others post that the 80% limit is ignored. someone said they enabled it but they saw it charge to something like 86%.

With 80% Limit enabled, your iPhone will occasionally charge to 100 percent to maintain accurate battery state-of-charge estimates.
