Hey there, I checked via Instruments my iPhone 15 Pro Max (installed 17.2 Beta 3 - had 17.1.1 before and still battery drain) and found out that there is an Process called (0) unknown running with around 2-6% CPU the whole Time and a lot of amounts of IDLE WAKE UPS, I don't know why!

Here is a screenshot, anyone knows or had something similar too?

Could that be the Health app issue that plauged some (including me)?

Don't remember all the details but if you have uninstalled the Health app a service are trying to reach it and keeps retrying.

Solution, reinstall the health app (even if you don't use it) worked a treat for me in iOS 16.something

That process is literally the kernel. It has PID 0 and it's just... iOS doing system thing.

Your battery drain likely comes from somewhere else.

I can’t delete the health app - only move to homescreen section.

But where? I can’t find it on instruments

That's because a lot of battery drain can come from things you won't see in Instruments. Like being connected to a cell tower with bad reception (and maybe jumping cell towers back and forth), bad Wi-Fi reception, high screen brightness, stuff like that.

In Instruments, try to order the table by "CPU time", as that's the total CPU time used by a process since bootup.

If you have a drain caused by an app, you will see it in Instruments. If it's not there, it's other factors.

What kind of drain are you having? Can you post some battery graphs? Are you mainly on 4G/5G or Wi-Fi during the day?
