Hi all, is anybody experiencing an issue with the sim card whereby every once in a while the phone ask you for the sim card PIN, and then it re-connects to the network - this is just randomly.

Screenshot here where you have "System No SIM Available"

on iPhone 15 Pro - 17.0.2

Any suggestion?

Did anyone figure this out? I started getting it Sunday evening and now it is every other day. I have to reboot to "fix" it but it shows up again.

What’s your network provider? Mine is Vodafone IT. All workarounds I’ve tried, failed.

I have Verizon. It must not be the provider then! At least we can eliminate that. I thought maybe it was the beta. It doesn't appear it's that, either. Frustrating.

I ended up doing:
- Apple store after diagnostic suggested to reset network setting --> Didn't work
- I asked a new sim card to my provider --> Didn't work
- I have completely reset my phone without using an icloud back up but re-installing everything manually beside icloud content

I don't have the issue anymore

I did the same. Even a DFU reset from scratch manually. The issue is still here…

Why not, oh I don't know, try something super crazy like upgrading to the more recent 17.2.1 to see if that fixes bugs?

I’m on 17.3 beta 1 for that reason, always upgrading when I see there’s a modem firmware update. No success. I’ll wait some more weeks but eventually request a replacement if this continues.

Have you tried changing the actual sim card with a replacement?

OK...so, this issue (though, I have a 12 kept getting worse for me. It got to the point where the error popped up every few minutes. We opened the little drawer and took it out....put it back in. Nothing. I reset the network. Nothing. I did it again following an online "fix it" from Verizon. That wiped the network totally out. COMPLETELY OU. There was no SIM info in settings. Got onto a chat with Verizon today. He treated it like it was a new activation (mostly, because it was still the same info, etc and not a new phone). He sent a QR code to another phone in our house. I scanned it and it went through the activation process and BAM! Up and running. So, eSim, apparently.... I did nothing with the actual card so maybe it wasn't used to begin with? I read that iPhones made after a certain date (like 2018ish?) all have eSim...why there is a card in it, I guess I don't know? Backup? It's been running without an issue for 6 hours now!
