Honestly, this seems a little sad to me. People upgrading just because it has USB-C? Sure, if they want/need the faster transfer speeds that come with it (assuming Apple doesn't cripple it), that's great. But to upgrade solely just for the different charging port seems a bit wasteful, imo.And with the iPhone 15 getting USB-C at last, that's gonna push a lot of people to get one.

I'm glad the iPhone is finally getting USB-C (all my other devices are USB-C), but it's not a compelling feature I must have right away. The cables I already have will still work with my current phone. I will wait to see what other features it has first to see if it's worth upgrading.
I doubt most (non-techy) people will even know or care about USB-C. I told my parents about the change and they're actually a little upset with it, as it means buying a whole new set of cables and charging bricks (two for their charging station, two for each of their vehicles, two for their camper, etc). It'll probably be their first major USB-C device whenever they do upgrade again in a few years.
Yeah I agree. I think USB-C only matters if you actually transfer files with a cable from your phone to your computer for example as it notably does have a faster transfer speed than Lightning.Honestly, this seems a little sad to me. Yep that’s exactly my case. I moved from a Samsung phone to iPhone recently and I really like the sound quality of my USB-C Samsung earphones that sadly won’t work with my new iPhone. And I do prefer wired earphones over wireless ones. Wireless ones are not cheap, and the cheap ones don’t have a good sound quality.Hell, a lot of Android guys would be able to move to iPhone now since all their Android accessories would be able to work on iPhone immediately, not having to buy the iPhone version of that accessory. There's also better audio quality for wired headphones since it means the audio is no longer being converted to digital from the lightning connector, which means lossless hifi through an iPhone at last.
I think it will be.IPhone 15 will be good or not?
I think Thunderbolt would be a nice addition. Like when the original iPod had Firewire.People upgrading just because it has USB-C? Sure, if they want/need the faster transfer speeds that come with it (assuming Apple doesn't cripple it), that's great.
It will be more of the same. If you found the 14 good and don't get bored easily, the 15 will be just like that, maybe a little more expensive and/or even bigger.
That + a titanium chassis and bigger battery? Count me in.The Pro Max will be good. USB-C and a periscope lens? Been waiting years for that.
Good for what? For cooking coffee not so much I guess...
And by the way: wrong forum.
