Here's the issue with the Apple Silicone cases - there is a forming line I guess on the edge. Never seen this before with their cases. Got a replacement and it too has a similar line but not as pronounced. A bit crappy considering they are $50 a pop.

These have always existed and an eyesore. I think they must fuse the top and bottom pieces together. Don't know why else a line like that exists.

Which screen protector is that you using?
I am using this one below. I am enjoying it so far. I used this before on the iPhone 14 Pro. I like how it goes up by the ear piece. Applying it was pretty easy as well. I am sure there are better ones, but I used it before and it worked well, so I got it again. I didn't do much research to be honest.

Not seeing it on mine this year…

I have it on my gray but not my black silicone
I’ve noticed the same with other brands, where multiple copies of the exact same case have the mold lines showing more or less. The Otterbox Lumen I recently returned has just about the worst mold lines I’ve ever seen, like something on a cheap child’s toy. I haven’t seen others complaining about it on that case so I assume it was my specific copy that was unusually bad.

Does the clear one have no black border is that just to differentiate from privacy glass?

Went into the Apple Store to have a look at the silicone cases as I have had them in the past and hated them!

And I still hate them! I guess it's a texture issue for me. I Just need to accept I don't like silicone and move on!

Just wish they still did the leather cases!

So with that said, can anyone recommend a decent leather case for the 16 Pro Max?

Thanks in advance.

I decided to stick with the 16 pro this year and don’t need my 16 pro max Pitaka Moonrise case anymore. Would anyone be interested in buying it? It’s basically in new condition. I can barely see a ring from MagSafe if I look at certain angles. I have the same case on my 16 pro and love it. I just don’t need the one for the max since I returned the phone lol. $40 shipped in the US.

There's a whole thread about leather cases on here if you want to do some digging/see some photos:

Personally speaking, I've always really liked Ryan London cases. I haven't tried their 16 Pro version, however.

I can second Ryan London. There really isn't a better leather case option out there unless someone releases one with a covered camera control. If they do, I would buy their new one as well.

I just received a Ryan London case for my 16 PM. It's beautiful. But, the camera button is too recessed for me, difficult to press with my big fingers. I'm going to keep the case and see if it grows on me.

Andar has a the whole section cutout for the button. That might be easier to use.

I don’t think anyone’s going to nail it until they integrate the button like Apple has on their cases, but that might be a while.

If anyone is looking to get a Spigen Ultra Hybrid T case much quicker than you can from Amazon, you can order them directly from Spigen on eBay here.

Ordered mine yesterday and already got a shipping notification today.

To me it's grip + not worrying about scratching the hell out of the back of the phone when I'm constantly moving it on my work desk etc.

My use of iPhones has always been low impact (i.e. mostly just office/home use etc) so I've never really struggled with damage, and have always been absolutely desperate to therefore use no case. I did actually do it last year for quite a while, but the downside was that a) it becomes super slippery to take out my pockets meaning I very nearly dropped it a couple of times, and b) when it was constantly up/down/up/down on my work desk I worried I'd scratch the back.

So when I saw these I immediately ordered one. It gives really solid grip (to me) taking it out my pockets, and I no longer worry about scratching the back. I had it on my iPhone 15 Pro for about 4 months and the sides didn't pick up any damage, but as above I know I'm a low impact user.

But... I 1000% appreciate that to probably 90% of iPhone users this is a 'pointless case' (not really actually a case I guess) and I respect that. Still thought I'd post in case it was of interest to some others.
That’s my use as well. I got excited when I saw your post about leather and suede backs as they’re just what I’ve wanted. Then I found out they are fake leather and suede which I’ve no interest in. Still waiting to see if the Nomad leather magnetic back is to be made for the 16 Plus.

My first time with a Caudabe case but I was a bit surprised how hard the case was to put on (Paragon). Felt like I was gonna scratch up the phone trying to get it in. I'm used to the Apple Silicone, which requires very little effort.

Just got my Andar Aspen case in Camel Tan for my Black 16 Pro. So far I'm loving it! The leather feels and smells amazing! It contrasts beautifully with Black Titanium, especially with the black camera surround and buttons. The buttons are very tactile and responsive. Having a cutout for camera control is much better than some other cases where more precise cutouts have impacted the functionality of camera control quite often and the case is tight enough where the corner will not inadvertently come loose. I can't wait to see how it ages over time, especially with the Camel Tan color.

This wasn’t always the case, I feel like it’s gotten worse since the 15 series. It was a contributing factor of why I only used the synthesis a few times on my 15. Skipping them entirely this year.
