Yeah. It’s hard to find anything that’s the thinness of Apple’s silicone or leather (RIP) cases - especially now with the camera control. I got the hybrid T last week. I’ve been trying to figure out how I think it compares for thickness.

I also have a Beats, AS, and a Benks ArmorAir. I got the AS for a good deal with a coupon or I wouldn’t have bought it. I won’t be getting any other cases until a leather case comes along with a Camera Control capacitative cover.

Right now, I’d say the following thoughts on each one.

- Beats (Stone): I have the stone color, and it doesn’t show fingerprints too badly. The buttons are AWESOME. They are some of the best and responsive buttons I’ve ever had on a phone case. I like open bottom cases for swiping. The case is also very thin and form fitting. The grip is decent, mostly relying on the glossy finish to stick to your hand. When hands are dry, it’s not as grippy, which is the same as every case like this. If your hands get sweaty or greasy, it definitely transfers to the case. Again, it’s always this way with cases like this with hard PC shells. Camera Control obviously works excellently.

- Apple Silicone (Denim): Felt great out of the box. I’d say the coating, when new, feels better than it ever has on this case. Buttons are the same as always on Apple Silicone cases. Camera Control works excellently. I think it probably has the best form factor, weight and fit on the phone of all the cases I have. Unfortunately, it still has the same negatives as always. The coating wears off quickly and starts to feel tackier, stick to pockets worse, and feels grimy and slimy pretty quickly for me. It constantly shows oil and fingerprints. I truly wish they’d make the case with the exact same dimensions but with a different material like a more durable TPU.

- Benks ArmorAir: if you’ve ever used a thin, carbon fiber case, you know exactly how this feels. I also got a Pitaka first week I got my 16 Pro. This has no discernible difference in fit from that one. It has more coverage on the bottom and also has cutouts for the buttons that are less sharp because the bottom of the case slightly goes up around the edge of the phone. On the Pitaka, the bottom is flush with the bottom of the phone. The Benks gives more the feel of direct contact with the fiber; whereas, the Pitaka you feel more the coating on the fiber. Both show fingerprints eventually. The grip is pretty good, and it helps that the case is thin because it’s easier to hold the phone in one hand for me. I can see the MagSafe magnets through the case where they are slightly higher on the back, but they are pretty strong magnets. The Pitaka has slightly better quality of finish, but I prefer the button cutouts on the Benks. I got the Benks on PrimeDay for a bit over $30. That’s more what I want to pay for a case like this compared to over $60 for the Pitaka. I love how thin these cases are, and they do a great job at giving basic protection.

- Spigen Ultra Hybrid T (frost black): I got this on eBay quicker and for less than on Amazon. It’s very strange how Spigen has three different prices for this on their site, Amazon and eBay. The fit is very good, maybe a tiny bit thicker than the Apple Silicone. The sides are a tiny bit rubbery, and the back is very smooth feeling with almost no tackiness. It doesn’t pick up oils or fingerprints very much at all. That said, the back is a bit slippery. Camera Control works very well. As others have pointed out, your finger doesn’t catch around the button like it does on the Apple Silicone because of the material around it. The volume buttons are ever so slightly harder to press than the others. This will be my tougher case for riskier situations. I never use a case any bulkier than this. The Frost Black looks awesome on the black iPhone pro.
Great reviews, thanks. 👍🏼

I love these aliexpress “fake leather” tpu cases

My JETech frosted black mag case has been delivered. Swapped it with the Apple silicone case that was on my phone, and I already think it feels much better. The camera button cutout isn’t as bad as I had in mind, but still going to get the Spigen UHT as I think having the button is better. The cutout isn’t a deal breaker, so I’m still considering the casebelle leather, just can’t decide between amber and sepia brown.

Look nice, link please?

Out of the the Benks and the beats which one would you pick? I’ve been debating grabbing the blue beats or the air armor tint But both being a shell barely there type case I don’t see a point in purchasing both.

Is there any good leather case with leather of the Bullstrap/RL-level that has an open port/speaker end (like these dow) AND a wide cut around the Camera Button (like Lonli/Nomad Traditonal)? Because that seems to be the way to go.

I am wary of Button-on-Button for CC. The Apple Silicon makes the CameraControl very hard to use. The double touch, even if switched to «lighter» in accessibility, is pretty wonky and unreliable to put it mildly, and taking a photo demands so much pressure that invariably, if you do not REALLY grip the iPhone, it will more shaken than if you just use the digital button. It is somewhat better without the double-button-action,and a wider berth around the button seems the way to go. At the same time I think RyanLondon got it right with the open bottom wich is less protection but much more comfortable swiping up.

(Camera Control is a nice idea, but boy does it need some reworking and love from Apple, as it is, it's not nearly as good as a real release button on any camera I used, which should be the goal.)

My RL is incoming in November, I loved it on the 15Pro and found myself using it more often than Mujjo and Native Union (which has weak-sauce MagSafe, but is visually very nice for non-leather).

I received a Benks ArmorAir last week and I’m very pleased with it, one with slight caveat. I usually buy Pitaka but the silver camera surround and excessive logo put me off. The Benks is comparable in terms of fit and quality but much more subtle… and it’s cheaper!

The slight caveat is it arrived with a defect, a small sharp protruding lump on the back. After a few emails back and forth with their support they’ve promised to ship me a replacement, so assuming that arrives and doesn’t have any problems, I can vouch for the quality, design, fit, and customer service of Benks.

They’re definitely quite different. The Benks is much thinner. If you just want bumps and scratch protection, I’d say the Benks. The carbon fiber feels nicer in the hand.

Beats will give a little more protection and has a microfiber lining on the back. The buttons are excellent on it.

I probably would have done the Benks and Spigen UHT if I could go back. Benks will likely be what I mainly use.

How long did they take to receive after you ordered?

It seems to me that's exactly what they did on the Satchel and Page case, but can't see the CC button side on the promo pics.
I asked them for the photos, will share when they respond.

Been using a gray sheath for the past month and I’m beginning to see the outline of the MagSafe ring—both the ring itself and the alignment magnet.

I've had a celestial blue Sheath on my 16 Pro for the past month, no signs of the MagSafe ring or alignment magnet. I charge it on MagSafe every night and use a MagSafe holder in the car any time I drive. Also use a MagSafe wallet/stand some of the time.

I just can't get on with the camera control cutouts this year. It's not that they aren't functional - they are - they just feel really weird in the hand, like there was a chunk taken out of the case that should otherwise be there. All the cases with the cutouts feel half-baked because you know they will ultimately replace the cutouts with a proper button.
I agree with you as I feel the same way. It’s the main reason why only have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T case right now and refuse to buy any cases with cutouts.

Got the spigen ultra hybrid T magfit. I hate it, feels cheap. Going back to my beats case.
Personally it doesn’t feel cheap to me at all although I’ve not had any experience with the Beats case. Then again the Beats case is overpriced and not what I would pay for a case like that. Not to mention it’s open at the bottom which I also don’t like. The Spigen may be cheap in price but it’s not cheap in quality at all. 🤔
