I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS 18 (build 22A3354) and I'm noticing more frequent stuttering and dropped frames when navigating and scrolling through the OS and animations compared to my old 15 Pro Max. This is also after letting the phone "index" after two days and not restoring from an iCloud backup. Is anyone else experiencing this?

If I'm not the only one noticing this issue, hopefully Apple fixes these issues in future versions of iOS. It's wild how a brand new phone with a more powerful SOC stutters more than older iPhones.

Is your 15 smoother than 16 in iOS 18? I also have some stutters etc in my 14 Pro after updating to iOS 18.

I was having shutters when I open and close apps. I went to delete away all my old locksceeen customization and create new one. It seems to improve.

Hello guys! Any news on this? I saw a guy on reddit saying that he went to a store to compare with the phones there and that any of the phones got the problem, so he talked to them and they asked him to return the phone so that they could replace it... im afraid this is hardware instead of software.
My phone also have this problem and its just frustating how the latest iphone can have this kind of performin issues. I compared to my girlfriends samsung s24 plus and my iphone looks like a 100 euros phone...

Just my iPhone 16 PM today and noticed immediately on 18.0.1 that it’s not as smooth as my iPhone 15 PM on same iOS 18.0.1.

Swiping seems sometimes stutter and scrolling from time to time.
The most I stutter I noticed was in the new photos app on the 16 ProMax, when you scroll up a bit it seems a bit choppy, stuttering.

Is this a software problem or hardware?

Same experience here with 16 Pro Max running 18.1 RC, stutters all over the place and it’s really annoying.

Hopefully they fix it soon.

I hope so too, can’t be on a new phone so many troubles.
Wanna experience the same at least on my iPhone 15 PM
