iPhone 16pro - 24mp resolution not working

New iPhone 16 pro and having issues with trying to take a 24mp photo. I have the camera configure for 24mp, set at 4:3 and shooting at 1x. When I look at the info of the picture I take it’s 12mp.

A Reddit post shows others with the same issue. Can others confirm if it’s working for them or not?

I haven't changed any settings, but you're saying take a pic with the 1x lens?

Mine says Fusion camera 24 MP.

Ensure you have good lighting; I recall something about Camera reducing the resolution if light level is too low..

How can you tell what resolution the phone is shooting in?
