Email received this morning:

Hi there,

Hope all’s well. Our iPhone 17 collection has been our most successful launch yet, and we owe that to you. We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing support we’ve received from our customers over the years.

That said, we also apologize deeply for the delay. This has been an incredibly challenging time for our team, but we're working as hard as we can to get your order to you as soon as possible. For the very latest updates, we've created a shipping updates page on our self-service portal. This page also contains a new spreadsheet that details the shipping status for every iPhone 17 series product we offer. You'll be able to more easily track the shipping status for your particular item(s).

To summarize the major reasons for the delay:
  • Demand for our products is the highest we've ever experienced in our 13-year history, which is creating a backlog of orders we're working through. We began fulfilling preorders on September 22nd and continue to expedite orders as fast as possible every single day
  • There have been production and logistics delays due to Super Typhoon Ragasa - the strongest storm on record this year - which impacted our factory partners and our shipping carriers. That has led to delays in fulfilling orders and transferring inventory to our other distribution centers
  • There was a week-long national holiday from October 1st to October 7th where our Asia warehouse is located. Our shipping carriers were not operating at this time, so this also impacted our ability to transfer inventory to our other distribution centers.
If you'd like to make changes to your order (or cancel), please get in touch with our Support team through our self-service portal. This is a no-reply email, so please do not reply here. Our Support team is working through messages as quickly as possible, and while it may take a few days to respond, please know we’ll take care of you.

Again, sincere apologies for the delay. We know how excited you are to receive your order, and we don't want to let you down. Over here at Caudabe HQ, it's all hands on deck at the moment. We wouldn't exist without you, and we absolutely don't take that for granted.

Thank you again!
Team Caudabe
Another Caudabe post. Bore off.

😉

Supcase has a version with a built in glass screen protector.
Thanks! Will check it out. Is it this one?

Nomad did a phenomenal job this year with the horween traditional …amazing grip out the box when you know leather is usually pretty slick at first. The syn frosty is maybe a mm too think, but some prefer that screen lip protection so you get it with that case. It doesn’t bother me one bit because it feels so amazing in hand
I really like the Ghost though, however could be a tad more lipage. It aligns with the form factor of the 17pro. Looks like the Frosty Syn is on the boxy side, not like the form of the 17pro.

I think its time to cancel my order. Originally had an expected ship date by end of September and now it looks like its going to be November. Plenty of other cases on the market. What really pisses me off is they took my money as soon as i placed the order. They didn't wait until shipping it.

1. It's like they were never aware Apple was launching a brand new product line (the Air) in addition to the 17, 17 Pro and Pro Max. Of course there was going to be big demand. Also, they've always struggled with launches and decide to bring on a new line themselves (Paragon) last year or the year before, like they wanted extra work.

2. Because this time of year is never typhoon/storm season. August/September is literally peak storm season in Asia.

3. This is an annual holiday, this should have been planned for in advance.

I have no sympathy for them at all. Just "a case" of a company not growing with demand and trying to do too much with too little resources.

I got the white iPhone Air and bought both the black and light grey bumper for it, depending the mood I'm in.

Exactly! These sound like excuses you would give a little kid. The Holiday excuse really gets me.

Regardless of what was said or being said by influencers I must say Apple has done really good job with these iPhones and iPhone cases.

Currently rocking TW with my Pro and they all look very elegant.

Im very proud of Timmy.
I think it's kinda wild how much fear-mongering the media has done with this generation. Yesterday, a coworker told me they got the base 17 because they saw aluminum pro isn't durable. I had to break it to them that the baseline iPhone has always been aluminum, and it will dent just as easily.

When was the last aluminum iPhone pro? Only time will tell if the durability. I know people with iPhone 15 base some look not durable.

It's actually mind-boggling to me that the 5.6mm, 5.8oz Air is BY FAR the most durable phone in the line-up. And ever created by Apple.

I love aluminum in more stationary products, like laptops, but handheld devices... It's a no from me, dawg. Even my Oura ring and WHOOP strap are titanium.

I know people who have base models and they don’t look nearly in good shape as the pre 17pro pro models.
