i need to get a better hobby. here are some pics of the mous aramid thin case. it’s very nice. seemed to fit perfectly until i looked at my photos and i guess there’s a tiny bit of space on the bottom left corner where it doesn’t hug the phone. it’s not noticeable when looking at it or rubbing my finger across it, so it’s a non issue for me. feels great. nice and light. mous claims it weighs 25g. my scale said 22g. i prefer the plastic camera protector. when placing on a table i don’t hear that metal sound and it won’t scratch. it’s basically a skin and camera protector. i like it.

next up is the pr gen 7. it’s definitely my go to when i want a protective case. relatively thin. i didn’t weigh it, but it’s obviously on the heavy side. very nice case, excellent buttons. the case feels really thin because of the camera protector. it’s not as large as even the mous thin.

The Gen 7 looks cleaner than the Mous. I thought they would be both in the same protective category?

Probably just splitting hairs here but after reinstalling the case numerous times (for installing a new screen protector) I can feel that the bottom corners (charging port side) are a bit loose - as if the case is a bit deeper/higher there and I can hear a slight creaking when pushing the phone in.
May be this case needs a break-in period? :)

2 questions, were the sides just pushing the edge of the Sheath outwards, or did the Sheath just not snap in at all due to thickness?

Secondly, am I ok with just the plateau and back skin, or only the plateau skin on the Sheath?
Lip of the case catches the skin and it just peels off.

You can apply skin to the bottom and two sides but not the top. Carefully pull the sides and insert iPhone. Then slide it down. Then snap the top corners.

Full back and Plateau should be ok.

Which case?

Don’t know I think you’re splitting hairs.

No, it’s quite tight. Just the bottom corners… I am not sure what exactly wrong with them, feels like they are a bit higher or may be wider than the rest of a case? My theory - charging with magsafe doing something to the case structure. Again - I’m talking micro millimeters here :)
How many micro millimeters is it off?

The PR is tempting. How’s the camera control button, does the bump get in the way at all?

The Phone Rebel sure does look sweet. Love that orange CC button.

I’ll be returning my Sheath for a few reasons but I see the qualities to it and I see why it’s a fan favorite but I also see why some people just don’t like it also.

I’ve been a long time fan but since taking a hiatus from it after the 14PM and trying it again this year, I realized it is truly just not for me anymore.

I really hope the Paragon works out, the fact that it’s slimmer is a huge plus to me and lighter which is always nice. Awaiting its arrival! 😀
Back to the TW otherwise? I truly haven’t found another case as good as it.
