Hello Guys, please give me advice. Is it worth to pick 17 pro or 17 after 13 pro? Why, mainly because of USB-C, and i hope better camera (photo video) and battery. IS it worth to pay more for PRO 17 version? If not how big difference i will notice vs 13 pro with battery and cameras? Thank You very much for help. If the topic should be in different place, please do not remove it just move to the correct one:)

What additional pluses may 17 pro give me vs 17?
As i saw some opinions on 17 model the battery does not look very good (or i am wrong?).

I'm going from a 15 Pro to a 17, seems most of the differences are on the camera side which isn't a big thing for me.

I’m contemplating the same question. My 13P is still at 84% battery health but battery life is way down since installing iOS 26 last week. There’s a lot to like about the 17, but I usually keep my phone for at least 3 years so I’m leaning toward the Pro for the better camera and more RAM. Otherwise I don’t see much meaningful difference.

I upgraded from an iPhone 15 Pro to the iPhone 17. With many "Pro" features being filtered down to the base model, the $300 price jump isn't worth it this year. I'll take the cost and weight savings, gladly giving up additional camera zoom and faster USB speeds (who plugs in anyways?).

If you are okay with not having the 4x/8x telephoto lens, I would go with a regular 17. Personally, I plug my phone in a lot to offload photos, and I still update using Apple Devices for every major update so I have a local backup in case something goes wrong. So I really need the USB 3.0 speeds. Also, if you are a content creator you have to have a Pro so you can record video to an external SSD. Otherwise, get a regular phone.

Another 15 Pro to base 17 switcher here. With the base model getting the same display as the Pro and starting at 256GB of storage, I decided to save myself $300 (plus tax).

I don’t game or do sustained heavy tasks on my iPhone to warrant the vapor cooling stuff, 8GB RAM has served me well on the 15 Pro (plus I don’t use Apple Intelligence), the difference in battery life is negligible when the base 17 already gets pretty decent battery, and any data I transfer is done wirelessly so USB speeds don’t matter to me. The telephoto lens does have its utility but I’ll try to see its absence it as an excuse to use my actual camera more.

Hmm do i need 4x/8x photo lens, what exactly it is? Zoom in which i did not have in 13 pro? Does it work well? It is useful when i want to make photos of documents or small things like bilon? To be honest even on MacBook i can not normally work with usb pens/drives as in windows systems - it always has problems with getting disks working - i hate in on Mac’s. BUT i am also not using usb in my phone, there is no option to do that normally. If i would be a creator I would go for android devices to normally use usb transfer.
SO considering what will be an update from 13 pro? What is the difference with battery 17 vs 17 pro and video/photo - is it better to wait next year to swap it or not?

If you don't even know what a zoom lens is just get the normal 17
