Will we see an 8-core CPU now that more and more AI processing is being done on the phone? Saw a video from Max Tech where they deleted objects in an image on an S25 Ultra, and it took several seconds to perform that process, despite having an 8-core CPU. The result was much better than on the iPhone. Will more CPU cores speed up AI processing on the phone? It's a good opportunity for Apple to add 2 extra CPU cores now that they are redesigning their phones while adding vapor chamber heatsinks.

Want?
I want a million cores. Whats the point of asking what we want? What does tim cook want? shareholder value. So that's what you'll get.

You want to use your CPU for as little AI stuff as possible. The GPU and NPU are better suited for that kind of work.

What I want is a more efficient chipset. Who cares how fast it is if it overheats for daring to use it outdoors?

CPUs are the worst choice for handeling AI workloads, that’s what an NPU (or neural engine as it is called by Apple) for.

That’s the reason the iPhone 14 Pro did not get support for Apple Intelligence as the Neural Engine of the A16 is far less capable than the one integrated in the A17.

It's the lack of RAM. Apple Intelligence works on the M1 which is like an A14.

Ok, maybe we will get an 8-core CPU and 16/18 GB of ram in the 17 Pro Max then. I mean, why would they hold back? Just charge us more for it..
