So I upgraded my iPhone to 2.0 software and I am currently trying to configure my exchange email to work. I have all the correct settings but it fails every time. Is anyone here good with Microsoft Exchange?

In my exchange settings I have mobile access enabled. I read on the Apple site that your exchange server has to have SSL enabled and and certificate has to be created in order for iPhone active sync with Exchange to work. There are a lot of settings and configurations within the exchange server that have to be done before the iPhone can sync with Exchange. Apple made it seem much easier than it actually is. For a larger corporation, I'm sure all these settings are probably already configured but for a small business running an exchange server, much of this is not needed and thus you are not able to get you iPhone synced with just a quick setup.

Does anyone out there know of or can you post and step by step set of instructions for exchange configuration so I can get this working with my iPhone. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm glad you posed the question. I too cannot configure it.

My guess is that it is more about the settings on the server end than it is on the iPhone end.
