Details Are Always Important:

Software: 3.1.3
Type: iPhone 1st Generation or 2G
Jailbraking Software: redsn0w 0.9 beta3
Reason for Posting: Minor Questions after I Jailbrake it.

I have jailbroken before and usually I just use redsn0w to unlock the iPhone so I dont have to pay to activate it because its not active anymore. I have a 3G SIM card from the phone I originally had. I want to know if there is a source on either Cydia or Icy that will let me use 3G signal on my iPhone 2G and if adding Cydia to my iPhone is worth it because all I can think of is the Camera and the the five icon dockscreen.

Any suggestions besides getting a new iPhone. :)

Your phone does not have the physical capability of sending and receiving HSDPA data. No software can create a radio where one doesn't exist.

Okay, thanks for the humorous output. I am not familiar with the layout of how a phone in any way shape or form works, I am a computer guy but my phone is currently being a pain in the ass with signal so I thought that I might ask. I simply thought that it was similar to the bluetooth setup.

Also, tell me some things that will make my iPhone worth while on Cydia or Icy if I add them when I jailbrake it.

Okay, so I got everything to work nicely, can anyone tell me how to get it to where I dont need to put in a username and password on that viewmymessage.com website when I have MMS setup
