iphone 2g screen wont work but the touch sensor does

Hi, thank you for reading this post.

My phone stays all black but i can recieve calls and answer them by hitting the screen in the right area. I can listen to music and all that stuff but the screen remains black but the touch sensors still work.

Also my(or any cpu)or itunes wont recognize the iphone.

I have done the hold sleep/wake + home a million times already with no luck.

Everything is working except the connection issue the the computers and the screen.

Any help would be greatly apreciated thank you.

If you are still under warranty I suggest going here and scheduling an appointment to have it checked out. They will hopefully replace it.

well today might be the perfect day to upgrade then.....

its also a perfect day for me to have no extra money to spend on a new phone

just angers me that the touch works but the screen wont turn on and i dont know why.
