Hey, is there any other ways to remove a sim card tray from an iPhone instead of the method using a paperclip and pushing it into the hole.

I've tried repeatedly to remove the sim card tray; I even took it to two AT&T stores and they couldn't get it out either. The phone had my AT&T sim card in it, too, so they had to deactivate it and give me a new sim card.

It's out-of-warranty.

How did giving you a new SIM address the problem, if you can't get the old deactivated one out and the new one in? Didn't that just stop your phone working altogether?

Just curious.......

LOL "uhh, so that SIM card's stuck... Well, we'll deactivate it so it screws up your whole iPhone. And while we're at it, here's a new SIM card that you can totally use. Yeah. Thanks for sticking with AT&T!"

Wirelessly posted (David's Black 16GB iPhone 3G: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

Duh! AT&T fixes everything!

Well, I have more than one iPhone so I just inserted the new sim in another iPhone so it was fine.
I managed to fix the problem by posting on Craigslist and for six bucks this girl removed the sim card tray.
