Anything I can do? I can still "Slide for Emergency" and make phone calls to ANY number there, but iTunes won't let me activate it because it isn't using an At&T sim card.

Just wait until the dev team releases the new version of quickpwn. Have a look at: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/

this will allow you to activate it again. good luck

That's crazy.

I updated to 3.0GM (same as release) from 2.2 unlocked on my 2G that I have NEVER had activated (owned since Day One), and it worked perfectly fine.

Yeah I know it is crazy. I was reading many posts on http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ and many report exactly the same as you do. Maybe it depends on the way people do their update (just hit "Update" or "restore") ?

Weird  I can't do anything on the phone(except make slide for emergency calls) until I plug it into iTunes and attempt activating it. I only hit the update button as well.
