Hi guys,

I was experimenting with the new beta OS and did the whole internet tethering thing and lost my MMS and Voicemail capabilities. I was able to resolve the MMS messaging by doing a restore with the ipsw file but still no luck with the visual voicemail. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I had to wait a few times, after connecting to the voicemail, for a prompt to come up.

The prompt says incorrect voicemail PIN, please try again,

and then I typed in my password, and it worked again.

I keep getting a cannot connect to voicemail message when ever I restart or try to listen to my custom greeting. Should I try another restore?

The only solution that I found that has worked is doing a restore with the 3.0 beta and setting your phone up as a new iPhone and then restoring the contacts and apps back.

Try this.....

Go to att.com and go to your account....there should be a place where you can choose

reset voicemail password....

It will send a text to your phone...usually that will be enough to get it working but if not do reset your password and that really should fix the problem..

Hope it works!

Here's what I did to get it to work...

Attempt to access voicemail. Fail.

Call from another number. Don't leave voicemail. Maybe even access your voicemail by calling your cell number. Prompt comes up on the iPhone to enter the password.

Works fine.

Eh I tried all of that, so I just restored the phone and setup a new iPhone. It fixed the problems with MMS and Visual Voicemail.
