iPhone 3.1 JailBreak

Ok so I'm running OS 3.1 on a 3GS iPhone. I have acquired my Product ID, Vendor ID, CPID, CPRV, CPFM, SCEP, BDID, ECID, SRTG, IMEI, ICCID, Identifier, Serial number, Model number, Wi-Fi address, Bluetooth address, and my UUID.

My computer is a 17" MacBook Pro running OS X version 10.5.8

I want to downgrade to 3.0 if possible, jailbreak my iPhone, get internet tethering, and MMS.

I'm pretty sure I only need my ECID but I just wanted to be safe...

How can I use this information to do what I want and what jailbreak program would be the best to use?

It seems your probably SOL, 3.1 upgraded the baseband of the phone to something without a known exploit. Maybe its possible, maybe its not. Up tot he dev team now. Hopefully there is because I want to get a 3GS sometime soon.

Heres a tutorial I wrote.

But it requires you to have saved your ECID to Saurik's server. Otherwise you have to wait for a 3.1 jailbreak.

Since you're not trying to UNLOCK you're not SOL. You should be fine. You may have to wait until the 3.1 JB comes out since you did not send your info to Cydia. Maybe Saurik will have some way for people that manually captured this data to handle this as well. He usually writes back emails in a couple days. If you can send him an email you can ask how to set it up locally on your computer or if he can add your info to the server or something.

He is a busy guy though.

Unless you were previously jailbroken and have your ECID SHSH stored on Saurik's server, there is currently no tool to downgrade your iPhone 3GS. I would guess that there will be a pure 3.1 jailbreak either from Dev-Team (redsn0w) or chronicdevteam (greenpois0n) before there will be a way to downgrade the 3GS to 3.0 without your ECID SHSH.

As an aside, none of the information you've described is what you will probably need to downgrade. It may be possible to do so with captured iBSS and iBEC files, but it is now impossible to obtain those.

The answer really is that you're just going to have to wait for some new tools.
