I'm getting iPhone 3G on Monday from O2 Ireland on bill pay. Is it possible that this iPhone would not be possible to jailbreak? Like Apple installs anti jailbreak thing or something. Or is it pretty much sure the same iphone 3G that everyone has been getting for ages now and there should be no reason that it shouldn't be possible to jailbreak with pwnage tool 2.2 on a mac Leopard 10.5.5?

You should update to 10.5.6, but yes, it will work fine. You can even unlock and use it with Eircom if you wish.

I was never able to get pwnage tool/quickpwn to work in 10.5.6, and when i tried to use the "automator solution" where it replaces the .kext files, my keyboard and mouse stopped working upon reboot, and it was a huge inconvenience to get them working again. How did you get dfu mode to work with 10.5.6 successfully?

I'll be grant with 10.5.5
I'll be getting the White iPhone 3G 16 Geg. So White one is jailbreakable, like no different to the black ones?

Both the same. You should wait to update to 10.5.6 until after you jailbreak the iphone on friday, then you might as well.

Oh ok I see, thanks for telling. I'm not upgrading my 10.5.5 until I jailbreak.
