Well you can just try Fuzzyband, it will tell you if it can work for you, or you can get f0rcast and run it. It's windoze only, iTunes must be running at the same time. Use Google to find it.

trying fuzzyband .....i only run mac so f0recast will not work for me

ya i am just gonna sell it as it is ....unless you have some inside info on a new exploit

Only the same info everyone else has...
sherif_hashim crashed the baseband, which means "possible" exploit. Turned it over to DevTeam. MuscleNerd says it "looks promising". That said, from possible exploit to reliable unlock is a very long way. Also, the DevTeam has implied, or even stronger, come out and basically said, they are not "wasting" the unlock on 3.1.3, but waiting for next major firmware release (3.2 or 4.0) or next iPhone release (see DevTeam Blog). If they release it now, Apple will fix the hole before next firmware or iPhone release. That's it in a nutshell.

Make of it what you will

The post below from the Dev Teams site explains it all IMO;)

We aren’t revealing any new exploits to Apple with this jailbreak. Everything here has been used before, it’s just a straightforward port of Pwnage2 and 24Kpwn to the new firmware. It’s possible the new firmware was released largely to flush out new exploits before the next big release. We won’t be biting...

ya i read that i guess we all just wait ...its cool i appreciate all the work those guys do anyways if it was not for them i would not even have an iphone...thanks for the help

Is my understanding right?

Hi, just want to confirm:

Am I right that if a iPhone 3G has 3.1.2 software but Modem Firmware 05.12.01, it must have been upgraded to 3.1.3 in the first place, before being downgraded to 3.1.2 again (but as the modem firmware cannot be downgraded usually, it stays as 05.12.01)?

Will be grateful for any clarification! :)
